The NVAITC (NVIDIA AI Technology Center) is a collaborative program between CINI (AIIS Lab) and CINECA aimed at accelerating AI research in Italy through project-based collaborations. Its primary goal is to help academic institutions at all levels to conduct research more efficiently by providing research projects, training students, promoting the latest AI technologies, and utilizing CINECA's massive computing power. Over the last three years, the center has successfully completed 18 collaborative projects spanning various scientific fields, facilitated nearly 50 AI projects on CINECA's systems, trained over 1300 researchers, published 27 papers on prestigious conferences/journals, and ranked second in an international challenge on Action Anticipation (https://competitions.codalab.org/competitions/20071#results). The workshop serves two purposes: to train participants on large-scale deep learning challenges and to present the results achieved during the center's first three years of activity.
